Enrollment, Selection

Paulette Jeter began as a 4C volunteer and was later hired as a Teacher Assistant. She worked her way up to Teacher, then to Teacher/Assistant Director, then to Center Director.  As the agency grew, there was a need for Family and Community Advocates (FCA’s) and she was one of 5 employees promoted to this new position. She was later promoted to ERSEA Coordinator. ERSEA stands for Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment and Attendance.  It is Paulette's responsibility to make sure that the application and enrollment process for entering Head Start is fair and valid and that the database is kept up to date.  She holds a Child Development Associate Credential and an associate's degree in early childhood education. She also became certified in her content area as an ERSEA Credentialed Professional through the Head Start University.
